Dyslexia: An Introduction to the Orton-Gillingham Approach

This self-paced 10 hour course is appropriate for teachers with students who experience difficulty learning to read and write. The course is also appropriate for parents of children with dyslexia, individuals with dyslexia who wish to gain an understanding of their learning differences, school administrators, advocates, tutors, Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychologists, and other professionals who wish to learn about this multisensory teaching approach.

This course provides an introduction to the Orton-Gillingham Approach. It also serves as a stepping-stone for those interested in pursuing further study and becoming a certified practitioner and educator.  At the conclusion of this 10 hour course, participants are eligible for membership in the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE) as a Subscriber member.
